[description] => Ik ben Jaap van de Fliert (inmiddels 21 jaar) en kom uit Renswoude. Negen jaar geleden ben ik bij Evangeliegemeente De Regenboog in Veenendaal terechtgekomen. Door deze kerk is mijn leven behoorlijk veranderd. In de zomer van 2007 ben ik op ‘Servant Trip’ in Tsjechië geweest. Dit was een werkvakantie voor jongeren uit deze gemeente, met als doel het dienen van God, waarbij geklust kon worden maar ook werd geëvangeliseerd. Tijdens deze trip heb ik veel geleerd; ik mocht o.a. twee keer mijn getuigenis geven, iets wat mij zonder Gods hulp nooit gelukt zou zijn.
Daarna heb ik mij laten dopen. In deze tijd kwam steeds meer de gedachte boven om iets van evangelisatie te gaan doen, wat ik eerst wel vreemd vond, want deze gedachten leken ‘uit het niets’ te komen. Daarmee ben ik naar Hans Euser (toen jeugdvoorganger) en zijn vrouw Carolien gegaan en hebben we er samen voor gebeden. Ook onderzochten we samen op internet allerlei websites van zendingsorganisaties. Dat was voor mij een heel onbekende wereld. Toen we de site van Operatie Mobilisatie (OM) met de schepenbediening bekeken, sprak mij dit direct aan.
De volgende dag gingen we met de jeugd van de kerk weer op ‘Servant Trip’, dit keer naar Kroatië. Tijdens deze trip werden mijn plannen bevestigd. Ook sprak ik met Daniël Henning, die ook mee was, over de leiding dit ik over de plannen ervoer en hij werd daar erg door aangesproken, want hij was met precies dezelfde dingen bezig. Na deze werkvakantie zijn we samen naar een ZendingsJongerenweekend gegaan, wat speciaal was georganiseerd voor jongeren die zich wilden oriënteren om met een zendingsorganisatie uit te gaan. Daar waren veel stands met allerlei verschillende christelijke organisaties, maar opnieuw sprak OM ons het meest aan. Hierna is alles vlekkeloos verlopen, OM heeft mijn aanvraag goedgekeurd en 20 augustus 2009 vertrok ik voor een periode van twee jaar met het zendingsschip ‘Logos Hope’, en mocht daarmee God dienen in hulpverlening en evangelisatie.

Dat betekende wel twee jaar afscheid van de boerderij en mijn ouders, familie en vrienden. Maar ik kreeg er vrede over.

Ik ben Jaap van de Fliert (inmiddels 21 jaar) en kom uit Renswoude. Negen jaar geleden ben ik bij Evangeliegemeente De Regenboog in Veenendaal terechtgekomen. Door deze kerk is mijn leven behoorlijk veranderd. In de zomer van 2007 ben ik op ‘Servant Trip’ in Tsjechië geweest. Dit was een werkvakantie voor jongeren uit deze gemeente, met als doel het dienen van God, waarbij geklust kon worden maar ook werd geëvangeliseerd. Tijdens deze trip heb ik veel geleerd; ik mocht o.a. twee keer mijn getuigenis geven, iets wat mij zonder Gods hulp nooit gelukt zou zijn. Daarna heb ik mij laten dopen. In deze tijd kwam steeds meer de gedachte boven om iets van evangelisatie te gaan doen, wat ik eerst wel vreemd vond, want deze gedachten leken ‘uit het niets’ te komen. Daarmee ben ik naar Hans Euser (toen jeugdvoorganger) en zijn vrouw Carolien gegaan en hebben we er samen voor gebeden. Ook onderzochten we samen op internet allerlei websites van zendingsorganisaties. Dat was voor mij een heel onbekende wereld. Toen we de site van Operatie Mobilisatie (OM) met de schepenbediening bekeken, sprak mij dit direct aan. De volgende dag gingen we met de jeugd van de kerk weer op ‘Servant Trip’, dit keer naar Kroatië. Tijdens deze trip werden mijn plannen bevestigd. Ook sprak ik met Daniël Henning, die ook mee was, over de leiding dit ik over de plannen ervoer en hij werd daar erg door aangesproken, want hij was met precies dezelfde dingen bezig. Na deze werkvakantie zijn we samen naar een ZendingsJongerenweekend gegaan, wat speciaal was georganiseerd voor jongeren die zich wilden oriënteren om met een zendingsorganisatie uit te gaan. Daar waren veel stands met allerlei verschillende christelijke organisaties, maar opnieuw sprak OM ons het meest aan. Hierna is alles vlekkeloos verlopen, OM heeft mijn aanvraag goedgekeurd en 20 augustus 2009 vertrok ik voor een periode van twee jaar met het zendingsschip ‘Logos Hope’, en mocht daarmee God dienen in hulpverlening en evangelisatie. . . . Dat betekende wel twee jaar afscheid van de boerderij en mijn ouders, familie en vrienden. Maar ik kreeg er vrede over. Via het schip konden we zoveel mensen bereiken met het evangelie. Wilt u blijven bidden voor dit prachtige zendingswerk?!

Mijn eerste reis
